Molchanovs Wave 1 course is an important and complete introduction to the world of freediving. Everyone is welcome to join, even if it would be their first experience in water activities.
On the first day, the course takes place in our training base in Sanur. A very relaxed and nice environment to teach with a great pool nearby where you will be learning and training all the skills for open water sessions. This first day is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon, with a break for lunch.
On the second day of the course, together with your instructor, you will take the morning speedboat from Sanur Harbour to Nusa Penida Island. There, you will get to our amazing facility, with everything you need to get ready for your first open water session. With a break for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for your second open water session. The next day in the morning you will have your last open water session.
We are going to dive with constant weight using fins following the line up to a maximum depth of 20 meters. Most of the students after completing the course can go as deep as 10-20 meters. The skills you will get during this course will help you to reach this depth in the safest and most comfortable way.
Nusa Penida has great conditions for freediving, good visibility, warm water, and a colorful reef with amazing marine life. You can either come back to Sanur on the last speedboat or choose to stay one more day on the island and go for a day tour to see the outstanding views and beaches of this hidden treasure.
One of the best diving activities in Nusa Penida is definitely freediving with Manta Rays. These giants of the oceans often seem at Manta Point and Manta Bay (two dive sites well known for being a place where you can see the mantas). After finishing your course you can join us on our Manta Trip and experience freediving and snorkeling with these magical creatures.
At the completion of the Wave 1 course, with some additional training, you can continue your study to Molchanovs Wave 2 course.
